We would like to help Peter's memory stay alive with a Memorial Scholarship in his name here at the Foundation. If we raise $20,000 we will be able to award a Peter Courcy Memorial Scholarship to a graduating FISD senior from this point on as his scholarship will be endowed, we do not touch the principal but award the scholarship from the interest earned with a guaranteed 5% resulting in a $1,000 scholarship in perpetuity. All funds sent to the Foundation in Peter's name will be restricted to his scholarship fund. The donations are tax deductible and 100% of the donations will go to Peter's fund. I know this is a lot to take in but I wanted you to have an opportunity to tell people in lieu of flowers and casseroles, this is available. We can talk more when you have had more time to wrap your heads and hearts around everything. In the meantime, please know this is an option and I am happy to facilitate.

The Foundation’s mission is to provide financial resources to maximize student potential in the Frisco Independent School District through educational scholarships for high school seniors and teachers through innovative “Grants for Great Ideas”.
